Opening Survey - Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

Williamsport, Pennsylvania USA

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Hamster Princess: Ratpunzel by Ursula Vernon

I started reading Ursula Venon's books after seeing someone else talk about one on an earlier readathon and have enjoyed them ever since.  They are fun easy reads that make me laugh.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Chocolate chip cookies which I plan to make  while listening to an audio book.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

This is my 9th readathon which once again I can enjoy because of the support of my family.  I keep joking that this is one of my two favorite holidays of the year.  The other, of course, being the readathon in October.  For all true holidays I'm the one that organizes the family celebrations but readathons are my two almost responsibility free days to celebrate reading, my favorite activity.   This is made especially fun as I've become my mother's caregiver which means due to time constraints, except for audiobooks, reading just doesn't happen anymore.  Today my niece is taking care of my mother so books, ebooks and audiobooks are all on the table for the next 24 hours.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today?

Nothing really different.  I plan to read and nap and generally enjoy my day off from responsibility.

  2. Oh, thank you for reminding me that this year I finally have an audiobook I can listen to while I readathon! Might have to make some chocolate chip cookies myself!
